If you are reading this page because you have recently lost a loved one please accept our sympathies. We hope there is some way we may be able to assist you at this time. In most cases, at the time of death, the funeral director will, at the request of the family, contact the Church office to arrange a funeral which can be conducted either at:

St George’s on Tamborine Mountain.

St Luke’s in Canungra.

The Cemetery.

The Chapel of the Funeral Directors.

The priest will then spend time visiting your family, listening carefully to you and your stories of your loved one so we can help you plan and arrange a reverent farewell which will be true to the one you have known and loved and so enable you to celebrate their life with both tears and laughter. You’ll know intellectually that grieving is a natural and important part of coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. You’ll know this may last many months / years. At your request we will do our best to help and support you in this time. Comfort is also to be found in the promises of Jesus Christ, in the hope of the resurrection and in the belief that the beloved person is safe in the hands of God.

Note: The clergy of the Parish are available to pray at the bed side with those who are ill or dying, to anoint with holy oil (the sacrament of Holy Unction) and to hear confession.
